While some people have the opportunity to shake hands or have a two minute conversation with a CEO at a reception, the LeadSC Summit is providing an opportunity few get to experience, actually having lunch with a CEO. This executive lunch will allow attendees the opportunity to have a meaningful conversation and actually get to know the CEO on a personal level. Each attendee’s event badge will have a number that corresponds to an assigned table. Each table will have a CEO and only 6-8 other attendees, creating a relaxed atmosphere that fosters open and free conversation.

COMMUNITY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT
Vision, recruitment, collaboration and implementation are all vital elements to the success of a community, region and state. Speakers during this session will explain how each plays a different role and how you as a young professional can get involved in the process.
HOT TOPIC SESSION
This is a tentative session we are saving for the potential of providing a Thought Leader on a topic or event that occurs most recently in relation to the timing of the Summit. To ensure we do not miss the opportunity to discuss an important event or topic that arises between now and the time of the Summit, details of this session will not be released until the week before the Summit.
3:00pm-3:50pm – Break Out Sessions
SOUTH CAROLINA: SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO?
Hear from exciting startup business owners and other young professionals throughout the state about what they are doing and why they choose to live, work and play in South Carolina over anywhere else in the country. This session will use an upbeat, fast-moving presentation style called Pecha Kucha, in which each speaker is allotted 20 slides and only 20 seconds per slide.
HOW TO RUN FOR OFFICE AS A YOUNG PROFESSIONAL
Young professionals who have successfully run for both local and statewide office will provide information on what inspired them to run, what it takes to defeat a seasoned incumbent and how they were able to work with other elected officials to make a difference after they began in their position.
4:00pm-5:00pm
YOUNG PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS EXECUTIVE COLLABORATION SESSION
Each young professional organization (YPO) is invited to send one representative to attend this first-of-its kind executive planning session joining together YPOs from across the state. At the start of the session, each representative will provide information about his or her YPO and together, the representatives will begin strategically planning how all YPO groups can work together to share information, improve communication and foster meaningful relationships. Later in the session, representatives will separate into small groups by region, set a goal date for a regional event in their area, and calendar their next follow-up meeting or conference call to discuss additional details about the regional event. When the session concludes, representatives will have information to share with their respective YPOs, including contact information for each statewide group, goal dates for each regional event, and the date for the next meeting/call about the regional YP event in their area.
Send Charles Appleby, Vice Chair of LeadSC (mailto:Charles.L.Appleby@gmail.com) the contact information for the individual who will represent your group during this session. It is preferable the representative is a current or incoming executive member. However, the YPO also can designate a board member to serve as the representative.
