The GoldenStripMunicipalities and Chambers of Commerce are sponsoring a presentation on the economy on March 2nd at 6:30 PM at HorizonChurch on 1070 East Butler Road in Mauldin.
"The South Carolina and Upstate Economies: Recession, Recovery, Then What?"
Dr. Don Schunk is a Research Economist at the BB&T Center for Economic and Community Development at Coastal Carolina University. His presentation will focus on key State and Local economic trends, and how these trends will affect the economy over the next few years and beyond. In particular:
- Where are we in terms of the young recovery?
- Will we even notice a recovery in 2010?
- What is the outlook for manufacturing, housing and consumer spending?
- How long might it take for the South Carolina and Upstate economies to not only begin to recover, but also to be fully recovered?
