We are saddened to announce our decision to cancel two of our upcoming events: Block Party @ Five Forks, Presented by Five Forks Vision and Sippin? In Simpsonville, Presented by H2E Construction.
We were so excited to move forward with these events after announcing them in late May, but have recently re-evaluated their prudence based on feedback from our members and community in light of recent reports of increased COVID-19 cases throughout the upstate. We?ve come to the unfortunate conclusion that the smartest decision is to cancel both events for the time-being.
We still look forward to hosting a safe and successful Block Party event for the Five Forks community and another Sippin? event in downtown Simpsonville, but we cannot yet reliably identify a specific date or timeframe for that to happen. Look for more information on this and alternate projects in the coming days and weeks. We humbly ask for patience and understanding in the meantime.
It goes without saying that the last few months have been a challenge for everyone. We hope that you and your family have stayed healthy, and offer our condolences to all who have been negatively impacted. Our staff and board members are committed to meeting the needs of our community and providing for the health and safety of everyone. Please don?t hesitate to reach out with feedback or requests if the Simpsonville Area Chamber can be of service. We also invite you to check our website, Facebook page, and emails for relevant news and resources related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sippin' In Simpsonville's Summer Beer Tasting, Presented by H2E Construction is a tasting tour of Simpsonville's downtown shops and local businesses. Ticket holders will enjoy craft brews, local food, live music, and Simpsonville's downtown atmosphere as they walk along the tasting route! This year's route will feature 24 businesses pouring 2oz. samples of local and seasonal brews. An additional stop will be sampling local food. Water and pretzels will also be available along the route.
Guests will notice several changes to the event to accommodate all health and safety guidelines related to COVID-19, including swapping the beer and wine event schedule (our annual wine tasting will now be held on Friday, October 2nd), expanding the event hours to lower the peak crowd size, adding disposable cup options, and supplying plenty of hand sanitizer and other safety supplies.
A limited number of walk-up tickets may be available, but we strongly recommended that you purchase tickets in advance if you know you will be attending. This event will sell out and we cannot guarantee a specific number of walk-up tickets.
