Coronavirus Relief Funds: Making the Most of Greenville County's Opportunity
Coronavirus Relief Funds
Making the Most of Greenville County's Opportunity
Thursday, 11/12, 4:00 - 5:30 pm
Offered in partnership with Greenville Partnership for Philanthropy, NonProfit Alliance, and the Greenville Chamber
Earlier this year, the CARES Act established the $150 billion Coronavirus Relief Fund, which provided payments to state, local, and tribal governments navigating the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. Greenville County, SC received $91 million, which must be expended by December 30, 2020 or be returned to the Treasury Department.
Because Greenville County still has more than half of its funds to spend and just two months to do so, Greenville Partnership for Philanthropy, the NonProfit Alliance, and the Greenville Chamber of Commerce invite you to a session to learn how we can put these dollars to use for the good of our community. Join us to hear from experts who have advised communities and states across the nation in their use of their Coronavirus Relief Funds:
• What is permissible within the Coronavirus Relief Fund regulations
• How the funds can be used to meet the health and economic needs of residents, nonprofits, and businesses in Greenville County
• Examples of how other cities and counties have deployed their CRF dollars
• Recommendations of how to expend the County’s balance in the less than two months remaininghttps://hklaw.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_nMz-zaGyQz-x2rx0JBYa2Q
