The Period Project provides education to schools, shelters, churches and community leaders. The lack of access to menstrual hygiene products is often a misunderstood or an utterly unknown issue in the United States. Menstrual hygiene products are necessities but are not available in many schools, shelters, and communities to menstruators and students in need.
The Period Project works with school nurses and principals to create an understanding of the pressing issue. Menstrual hygiene products are one of the least donated items to and shelters causing more shame for the person already struggling with homelessness. In 30 of 50 United States, these products are taxed. In addition to providing education, we also work as advocates in our community and to our legislators.

Join us on the first Tuesday morning of every month for a women's networking event called Women's Impact Network (WIN Meets).
WIN is an exciting way to start the day with coffee, networking with fellow women in business, and giving back to the community. Each event will include a short presentation from a monthly sponsor, a spotlight/presentation from a local non-profit organization, and time to network with other guests. Guests are invited to bring a small donation for each month's charity if they choose. Check each month's event details to know the featured charity and donation opportunities in advance.
Interested in sponsoring one of these events?
Monthly sponsorships are $150 and include 5-10 minutes to share information and marketing collateral with guests.
Interested in spotlighting a local charity?
Featured charities will be local non-profit organizations that serve constituents in Simpsonville and the Upstate. Requested donations from guests may range from items like coats/winter warmth items, health/hygiene products, school supplies, etc. and should be directly relevant to the organization's mission.
