Senior Manager, Facilities and Exhibits
The Children’s Museum of the Upstate is seeking a skilled and professional individual for the full-time position of Senior Manager of Facilities and Exhibits. Major responsibilities of the position include managing high qualify, fully functional, and safe exhibits in delivery of satisfying visitor experiences; directing and supervising support technical staff; overseeing relationships with subcontractors and vendors; and creating and managing capital and operational budgets. The qualified candidate should have 5+ years experience in facilities management or exhibit fabrication; 2+ years supervisory experience in a high-paced environment; four-year degree in technical major or comparable associate degree in various trades; and demonstrated ability to work independently with a professional and confident positive attitude. Candidate should also show knowledge of construction techniques, shop tools, equipment, and electronics; familiarity and implementation of 5S, Lean, and OSHA/safety shop protocols; and demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and repair IT, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and structural systems.
