Simpsonville Area Chamber of Commerce joins Discover South Carolina’s Front Porch Program

Simpsonville, S.C. – The South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism (SCPRT) is thrilled to welcome our Front Porch Program’s newest partner, the Simpsonville Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Front Porch Program connects our bustling state-operated Welcome Centers and the powerful Discover South Carolina brand with local visitor centers and destination marketing organizations in small towns and big cities all over the state.

“We are excited to join the Front Porch Program to access new resources, trend reports, and industry best practices in support of Simpsonville's tourism economy,” said Allison McGarity, President/CEO of the Simpsonville Chamber. “This expanded reach will allow us to better serve visitors and guests, and show off Simpsonville’s many great local businesses.”

Certified Front Porch program participants share information, promote special events, and provide SCPRT with up-to-date information about their destinations. This allows SCPRT’s nine Welcome Centers to share the latest and greatest information available about our destinations with our millions of visitors, helping increase visitation to those areas and improving visitor experience upon arrival. Program members receive an official window cling and certificate to promote their participation in the program; bulk copies of state maps and the Discover South Carolina Vacation Guide; and access to special training and events hosted by SCPRT’s expert travel staff.

Simpsonville is located in Greenville County, offering big-city sensibility and small-town charm. The Simpsonville Area Chamber of Commerce improves the quality of life in the community in a number of ways, including highlighting the area’s spectacular natural assets and promoting local events, entertainment venues, shops, restaurants, and lodging to bring tourism dollars to the local economy.
